Marco Frias

Marco Frias was appointed head of Mexican Association of Road Infrastructure Concessionaries in March 2018. It gathers the main private highway concessionaries in Mexico: Together, they operate, at both federal and state levels, more than 4,000 kilometers of highways.

 Mr. Frias has held a number of positions in the MexicanGovernment; among them, he worked as the Chief of Staff to the Under secretary of Infrastructure and as a Deputy Director General for Border Infrastructure at the Mexican Ministry of Communications and Transportation, as a Deputy DirectorGeneral of Coordination with Federal Entities at the Ministry of Governance andas an Advisor to the Undersecretary for North American Affairs at The Ministry ofForeign Affairs. He has also worked as a consultant to UNDP on energy and environmental issues and as Analyst for Mexican Energy Policy in GE Energy.

arco Frias holds a master’s degree in PublicAdministration from the Columbia University in the City of New York. He also holds bachelor’s degrees in Public Administration, from The National AutonomousUniversity of Mexico (UNAM), and in Political Science, from the TechnologicalAutonomous Institute of Mexico (ITAM). In 2007, he was awarded with the Conacyt scholarship.
